Getting Started

How do I find my MAC address for the licence key?
The MAC address is the RTI processor's MAC address, not the WiiM device.

In Integration Designer:
1. Connect to your RTI processor
2. Go to System > Processor Settings
3. The MAC address is displayed (format: AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF)

From the RTI interface:
If the Fault Finder driver is installed, the MAC address is shown on the diagnostics page.

Enter the MAC address in your account on the Driver Store to generate your licence key.
How do I install the WiiM driver?
1. Download the .rtidriver file from the Driver Store
2. Open RTI Integration Designer
3. Go to Drivers > Import Driver and select the file
4. The driver will appear in your driver list
5. Add it to your project and configure the WiiM IP address in settings
6. Deploy to your processor

The driver includes a 2-hour free trial that resets on each power cycle. Enter a licence key to unlock permanently.
How do I enter my licence key?
1. In Integration Designer, select the WiiM driver in your project
2. Go to the Configuration tab
3. Find the Licence Key setting
4. Paste your licence key from the Driver Store account page
5. Deploy to the processor

The licence is tied to the RTI processor's MAC address. If you change processors, you'll need a new licence key — contact support.

Streaming Services

How do I set up Spotify?
The Spotify add-on requires a one-time authentication:

1. Go to your Driver Store account > My Licences
2. Find your WiiM licence and click "Set up Spotify"
3. Log in with your Spotify account (Premium required)
4. The driver will connect automatically

Spotify uses Spotify Connect, so your WiiM must be visible as a Spotify Connect device on the same network.
How do I set up YouTube Music?
YouTube Music uses your WiiM device's built-in YouTube Music integration:

1. Open the WiiM Home app on your phone
2. Go to Music Services > YouTube Music and sign in
3. The RTI driver will use this authentication automatically

Your Google account must have YouTube Music access (free or Premium).
How do I set up Tidal?
The Tidal add-on requires a one-time authentication:

1. Go to your Driver Store account > My Licences
2. Find your WiiM licence and click "Set up Tidal"
3. Log in with your Tidal account (HiFi or HiFi Plus recommended)
4. The driver will connect automatically

Tidal streams are played directly to the WiiM as high-quality audio URLs. Queue management with track-by-track skip is handled by the driver.

Troubleshooting

The driver can't find my WiiM device
Check these:
1. The WiiM and RTI processor must be on the same network/VLAN
2. Verify the WiiM IP address in the driver configuration settings
3. Try pinging the WiiM IP from a computer on the same network
4. Check if the WiiM has a static IP or DHCP reservation
5. Some managed switches block multicast/broadcast — ensure ports are open

The WiiM communicates on port 80 (HTTP API) and port 59152 (UPnP). Both must be reachable from the RTI processor.
Album art is not showing
Album art requires the RTI processor to have internet access (artwork URLs are from streaming services).

Check:
1. RTI processor can reach the internet (DNS + HTTP/HTTPS)
2. The artwork system variable is set to type IMGURL in Integration Designer
3. Some older RTI firmware versions have issues with HTTPS image URLs — update to the latest firmware

For internet radio stations, artwork is provided where available by the station metadata.
The trial keeps resetting / won't activate
The 2-hour trial is by design — it resets on each processor power cycle so you can evaluate the driver without time pressure.

If the trial won't start at all:
1. Make sure the driver is deployed and running (check TraceView for "WIIM DRIVER LOADED" message)
2. The licence key field should be empty for trial mode
3. Restart the RTI processor to reset the trial timer

To unlock permanently, purchase from the Driver Store and enter your licence key.

Purchases & Licences

Can I transfer my licence to a different processor?
Licences are tied to the RTI processor's MAC address. If you replace a processor, submit a support ticket with:
- Your order number
- Old MAC address
- New MAC address

We'll issue a new licence key at no charge. Licence transfers are free and unlimited.
What is the refund policy?
We offer a free 2-hour trial so you can test the driver before purchasing. Because of this, we generally don't offer refunds on licence purchases.

However, if the driver genuinely doesn't work with your setup and we can't resolve it through support, we'll work with you on a case-by-case basis. Submit a support ticket and we'll help.
